The P6 squad had a last minute change in fixtures due to Deeside 2 not coming, which led to an earlier KO than expected. This was against Aberdeen wanderers. The game was totally one sided and Ellon dominated scoring 11 unanswered tries. 3 tries to Ben Dickie, Fin Hagen and James Myers and 2 for Adam Fowlie. Second games was against Aberdeen Grammar. Ellon started the stronger team with some good pick and goes and a final pass to Zander Fraser to blast over for his first try. This was followed by a try for Gail Gilmour after Ben Dickie was fouled, before Grammar got a try back just before half time as Ellon failed to have a flat line defence. In the second half Ben Dickie received a long pass to score on the wing for a 3-1 lead. It was looking promising, but two missed tackles late on let Grammar back in to draw 3-3. That slip would ultimately loose Ellon P6 a Semi spot. As the Grammar game finished the heavy rain started and Ellon went into a 50 minute break. This break, the rain and lunch seemed to change Ellon for the worse; and they went into the final pool game knowing a win or a draw would put them into the Semi-finals. This was not to be as after a couple missed tackles Mackie took a 2 0 lead. Ellon got one back but the team, clearly distracted, let in 4 more tries as heads went down. Final score 6 – 1. A little disappointing in the last game, but brilliant in the first and second. Against Grammar, the P6 team needed to be ruthless and learn to finish games off.
